Treated with a durable water repellent to repel water and prevent water logging, to keep the jacket light and able to dry quickly, giving it a major advantage over traditional tweed

The Harkila Weather System HWS® - How it Works
Using hydrophilic membranes to draw moisture out, the membrane rapidly absorbs and removes perspiration, distributing it over the surface, where it rapidly evaporates and stabilises the temperature inside the garment. At the same time, the holes in the membrane are so small that they prevent water molecules from entering from outside. This is an innovative technology in a robust construction that both enhances adaptability and protects the shooter from the elements.
